    • Pilates vs. Yoga
I used to think these two forms of movement were the same. Pilates and yoga offer me very similar benefits yes, but are different in their approach to helping me reach my goals. Read about HOW they differ in our most recent blog post.

    • Happy Friday!!!
Hope you got some exercise in this week. If not, the week isn’t over yet.
There’s this misconception that in order to reach fitness goals, you have to be in the gym everyday and/or be in the gym lifting all the heavy things. And although strength training has a number of great benefits, it’s not the ONLY valuable way to move your body.
I personally love strength training. But I incorporate many other forms of movement in my training routine.
Fitness is meant to keep you engaged. And that will look different for everyone.
What’s the goal? To MOVE. That’s it. Whether it’s 15 minutes or 30 minutes.
Let’s end the week right!
Let’s gooooo!🔥🔥
    • We’ve revamped moveandbloomwellness.com to better help you along your wellness journey.
I know how difficult it can be to come up with recipes that are nutritiously fueling AND so delicious even you kids will leave their plates empty.
I’ve added a food section to our new blog to help with those needs.
Stay tuned for upcoming recipes, fitness and motherhood blog posts at 🔗Moveandbloomwellness.com 🏋🏾‍♀️🥗🤰🏾
    • 🔥First, pulses isolate the activated muscles which maximize fatigue, building muscle endurance.
🔥Second, it is also muscle exhaustion that generates a change in them, strengthening your resistance.
🔥Third, pulsing brings more blood to the muscles which increase their mass.
🔥Finally, pulsatile movements target muscles that are key stabilizers, enhancing your mobility.
Adding that extra pulsing effort into your exercise routine is of great value. The best is to combine pulse and full-range moves together to reap the most profitable results from both.
Full-range motions target an entire muscle group while pulsing motions bring the emphasis toward major stabilizing muscles.
Let’s Goooooo!

    • Most people agree that it feels good to keep our bodies fit and strong. But the same is true for our immune systems.
We know that getting enough exercise helps us maintain a healthy weight. It also helps us to keep our muscles and bones strong, sleep better, and manage stress.
Exercise for OVERALL wellness. To feel good, and to strengthen the systems we can’t see.👀🫁🫀🩸
Study: Adults who did aerobic activity on five or more days a week had 43 percent fewer days of sickness with upper respiratory tract infection (like the common cold) than adults in the same study who were largely sedentary.

    • Let’s talk CORE STRENGTH!
When you picture a strong core, you probably imagine someone doing tons of crunches to grow their muscles. But building abdominal strength is about so much more than physical appearance: It can help you go about everyday tasks with more ease and improve your overall wellbeing.
Let’s not forget how much having a strong core all around helps in your overall strength when it comings to lifting.
To my mama’s, whether you are 1 year postnatal or 10 years, it’s important to strengthen that core and repair any damage that was done while carrying. Core work is ESSENTIAL FOR OPTIMAL MOVEMENT.
💪🏾Include these exercises in your workouts, or add them to your core focused routine to help strengthen your powerhouse!
Let’s goooo!!🔥🔥🔥
